ONTARIO,
Calif. -- May 5, 2003 -- Clear Essence Cosmetics USA,
Inc. has included Wal-Mart, Walgreens and Eckerd in
their list of national retail chain stores that will
be carrying their skin care products in the stores'
health and beauty aids department. Prior to this, Clear
Essence products could only be found at Sally Beauty
Supply stores and other local beauty supply stores worldwide.
With Clear Essence products on the shelves of Wal-Mart,
Walgreens and Eckerd stores, there is bound to be an
increase in product awareness, sales and reliability.
Wal-Mart
stores are a flagship retail division of Wal-Mart Stores,
Inc. There are 1,568 discount stores in the United States
and 942 discount stores overseas. Clear Essence chose
Wal-Mart to sell its products because Wal-Mart serves
more than 100 million customers weekly in 50 states,
Puerto Rico, Canada, China, Mexico, Brazil, Germany,
United Kingdom, Argentina and South Korea. "With Clear
Essence products being sold internationally at these
various countries, there couldn't have been a better
retail store to carry its products," said KC Obioha,
Clear Essence President.
Clear
Essence Cosmetics USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Bluefield
Associates, Inc. is headquartered in Ontario, California.
Clear Essence is a complete line of skin care formulations
that are made to treat the skin of men and women of
color - Asians, Africans, and Hispanics. There are three
basic skin survival steps for maintenance: cleanse,
tone, and moisturize. Clear Essence offers three product
lines for these survival steps: the Anti-Aging Line
(formulated with a rich blend of herbal extracts), the
Botanical Line (for sensitive skin), and the Men's Line
(to control razor bumps and uneven skin tone).
Walgreens,
Clear Essence second carrier, is a national retail pharmacy
chain and considered the leader in innovative drugstore
retailing. There are 4,014 Walgreens stores in 43 states
and Puerto Rico, which serve 3.4 million customers daily.
More than 470 new stores opened in fiscal 2002. "Their
plans to open more than 450 new stores in 2003 and operate
more than 7,000 stores in the year 2010 will provide
an excellent growth opportunity for Clear Essence products,"
continued Mr. Obioha.
Eckerd
is America's fourth largest retail drug chain with approximately
2,660 drug stores in 21 states. After JCPenney's drugstore
expansion, JCPenney and Eckerd recognized the potential
power in combining the two chains, which resulted in
an agreement to merge in 1996. In 1999 Eckerd acquired
140 Genovese drug stores in Metropolitan New York. Eckerd
plans to open at least 60 stores by the end of 2004.
Clear
Essence's high quality products are functional, therapeutic,
